Preparing for the Tattoo

7. February 2012

So you’ve spent all your time on Wirelessinternet.net on the computer finding the perfect tattoo design that says what you’re all about. You’ve done the research and you know how much you want to spend and where you want to go to have it done. However, if you think all the preparation is over and the only thing you need to do is hop into the car and get it done then we’ve got news for you, it’s not over yet.

In addition to preparing both mentally, logistically and financially for the task at hand, you also have to prepare your skin for this potentially permanent decision. That means taking care of the area where you plan to get the tattoo. There’s no special ritual or project involved in doing this, you just need to keep the area clean and, hopefully, blemish free. If you have an open sore on the area where you need this tattoo then you might want to hold off until it heals to avoid infection. And as far as additional skin care, consider some lotion and deodorant, both to make the skin easier to manage and as a common courtesy to the man or woman wielding the needle.

If you follow these tips your tattoo trip should be a pleasant one – or, at least, as pleasant as a trip to the tattoo parlor can possibly be.
